My karma must be severe because I am paying off a 50K loan debt from 1980's that remains with growing interest at 90K 20-25 years later....folks I pay on it and at present am not in default either. I struggle with this concept of never having a life outside of student loans or even any concept of retirement. Good news is I keep writing to congress-people, senators, anybody really. Another one responded. Hopeful? NOT really......we need to continue to enmass and grow and write because the more we write the more others will contribute....there has to be a critical mass. My depression is that I do this work with an ideal I might benefit?.....think not.....such a bummer at this time of year
