anyone?

isn't there anyone out there with something else to say on school loan problems. I am in the process for a disability discharge of my loan and they are driving me crazy with it. I was told it takes up to 60 days for a reply after my forms goes into revie, but it is now a few weeks past that mark and i am now sitting on my hands waiting. I wouldn't be surprised if I am denied even though my doctor labels me as disabled with a serious back injury which is getting worse. I think that they think that if you are at least breathing that you are able to earn hgainfull employment to pay back a loan which doubles, triples, etc.... in total due. You just can't ever get it paid in full and I know of cases where people have paid their loans off in full to the Gov and they continue to get billed for it and get no proof that it has been paid. Figure that one out. i just sent an email out a few days ago wanting to know of any updates on my acct and I have heard nothing back from them. Usually it only took a day for a response, but I am waiting longer now for some reason. is there anyone out there that had a disability discharge go through OK? email me at tsementelli@hotmail.com

whether your doctor labels you "disabled" is not the issue; its "permanent and total disability". On the discharge application the doctor need to provide a diagnosis of your condition, explain how your condition prevents you from being able to work in any capacity, and provide the date on which it was determined that your condition began, or deteriorated to such an extent as to prevent you from working in any capacity, whichever is later.
