Shipping calculations set in our PayPal account profile to accommodate our product offerings automatically apply to donations, and there is no way to override this function. I cannot understand why PayPal insists on applying shipping settings to DONATIONS, but I have no control over their system. Our only options appear to be either identify a specific shipping cost for each product regardless of quantities of products ordered (a rather dumb approach to the determination of shipping costs) or change to different merchant account and payment gateway providers (more appealing but more time consuming, and probably not justified based on the fact that we have not sold ANY products to date!). Okay, we'll take the dumb approach for now, and migrate to a different merchant/gateway as product sales dictate. It will take us a few days to modify the product shopping cart buttons to independently reflect shipping charges. In the meantime, donations will reflect a shipping charge, effectively increasing the amount of the donation by that shipping amount. Our apologies, we will proceed with the modifications as soon as we can, and we will post a message here when the modifications are completed. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.
