This website is unusable crippleware

I urge the people who are operating this resource to dump this crippleware and adopt the use of a proven application such as Community Server [1].
Comments and a question...
A few comments:
1. The application we use is a full-featured open-source content management system (CMS). It is not "crippleware" in any sense of that term.
2. The non-commercial version of Community Server _IS_ crippleware, as users are required to purchase the commercial version to eliminate restrictions on usage.
3. Community Server requires an asp.net server. People committed to the open-source concept find that to be a substantial negative factor associated with that application.
4. Our CMS has been in use for several years within the open-source community. The open-source movement does involve strengths and weaknesses relative to commercial software applications, but the development of the CMS we use has been sufficient to deserve it being considered a "proven" application (check out the depth of the forums at www.drupal.org to see what I'm talking about).
5. We have received ZERO contributions to date. That is ZERO, as in none, nada, zip. Migrating to an expensive commercial application is not a reasonable expectation at this early stage in the development of this student loan borrower community. WE urge ALL of our members to contribute a certain number of hours per week to helping us expand the size of our community. Considering what student loan borrowers have at stake, THAT is a reasonable expectation. When our community consists of thousands of members, the community may be willing to financially support improvements such as migrating to a different content management system platform IF that expense in no way compromises our fundamental litigation-based strategic approach to the pursuit of our mission.
Now for my question. What is it about our CMS platform that prompts you to call it crippleware? Perhaps some specific comments related to our website interface could help us improve its functionality.
